'The Border Gaitherin' of tutors and performers provides an exciting and inspirational blend of youth, experience, tremendous skill and internationally renowned artists, all supporting our focus on  'Flutes and Fiddles Futures'. This year we are showcasing the immense musical talent which resides here in the Borders. Come and see for yourself !

Open Stage ' - your chance to perform
Tutors' Concert featuring all the tutors, solo and in permutations you - and they - couldn't imagine.

'Open Stage' Sunday 12.15 - 2.30pm
Community Centre.

We will have time for about 12 'acts', each lasting no longer than 10 minutes including set up time . Sound guys will be there to help - but make sure your requirements are modest ones.
Open to any age, type, group, solo, duo, etc, with a competitive element, but informally entertaining as well.
You must book a 'slot' for the small entrance fee of  £2 per act.
Our team of judges will award our surprise prize(s) at the end.

Register for a 'slot' in advance by emailing border.gaitherin@zen.co.uk.  If we have more than 12 acts - we will allocate time on a 'first come- first served' basis.

First Prize :- Two hours in 'The Sound Foundation' recording studio , with professional sound engineers.
Runner-up :- To be decided

Entry is free for the audience, and the cafe facilities at the Community Centre will be providing soup and sandwiches.
